Better Pathways – Mental Health First Aid.
Did you know that mental ill-health costs UK employers £34.9 billion each year in reduced productivity, sickness absence and staff turnover?
Help is at hand: simple steps in the workplace, including investing in training Mental Health First Aiders in your workplace, will allow you to save 30% or more of these costs.
Better Pathways Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) qualified instructors will support your staff throughout the training course and help you to proactively manage wellbeing within your organisation.
Mental Health First Aid is an internationally accredited course, recommended by Business in the Community here in the UK. It’s a tried and tested approach and over 2 million people have been trained in MHFA skills worldwide.
MHFA training courses teach people to spot the symptoms of mental health issues, offer initial help and guide a person towards support.
By investing in these skills within your organisation you will:
- Give your team the tools to keep themselves and their colleagues healthy
- Encourage them to access support when it’s needed, for a faster recovery
- Empower people with long term mental health issues to thrive at work
- Build a supportive culture around mental health which will reduce sickness absence, staff turnover, and stigma
Better Pathways can deliver courses in your workplace anywhere within England. We can also deliver for groups of up to 12 people from our own offices in central Birmingham (walking distance from New Street Station).
We offer both the adult and youth two-day Mental Health First Aid courses, and an introductory half-day MHFA Lite session. We also offer a two hour mental health awareness session.
