Neil has been coming to Better Pathways for 25 years. He has cerebral palsy, psychosis and epilepsy. He benefits from an environment where he feels comfortable and has understanding people around him to help him manage his conditions.
Attending Better Pathways makes Neil feel better; he has lots of friends here and enjoys coming somewhere where he can be social. He has lots of new and exciting things to do, opportunities that he wouldn’t get anywhere else. He enjoys working, the health and wellbeing benefits that come from work and finds the people and the staff to be very friendly and supportive.
Neil’s father, Ken, has said, “You can not put in to words what Better Pathways has done for me, my family and Neil. Neil has been coming here for 25 years, shortly after he left college. We couldn’t find anything that Neil could do because of his cerebral palsy, and when we found Better Pathways, we can honestly say it was life changing. He attends 5 days a week, he loves the work and the people, and thinks the staff are first class. Any problems we have had, Better Pathways sorts them out straight away. It has given him confidence and a real sense of purpose and, despite his health conditions, he can still live an active, healthy life, full of hope and purpose. We can not put in words how life changing the services Better Pathways offer for people like Neil are.”
