Neuro-Diverse Employment Support Service
What it is:
This service is a funded through Birmingham City Council Third Sector Grants; and is designed to support young adults with a Learning Difficulty and/or ADHD/ Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Asperger’s into education, volunteering or employment appropriate to their skills, confidence and safety. The journey starts with a referral and access to the Neuro Diverse Employment Support Team. The model is a strengths-based approach, building confidence and trust; with the pace set by the individual.
The service is delivered by our experienced and trained Employment and Development Coaches who provide intensive one to one support particularly to those that enter employment at an early stage. The service is embedded in clinical teams aligned to specific services and aims to broaden individual opportunities for supportive experiences within the community, either through peer led groups, third sector social activities, or other projects within the community that are a good fit to individual needs and interests.
